We had had excellent weather the whole time (actually cooler than expected, although still quite warm an humid). However, as we got on the river this morning for the hour long boat ride to the airport, we could see clouds moving in.

By the time we were walking on the path to the airport, the rain was pouring down.

Finally, we reached the airport.

A man showed up to work the control tower.

“Cusco, Cusco, Cusco, [this is] Manu, Manu, Manu” (or something) he would say.
They asked him something, and he walked out to the runway to check it out.

He would come back and talk some more. The airplane was about an hour or two late, but eventually it arrived, and we had a short ride back to Cusco (and not as bumpy as I expected).

We arrived back in Cusco, went out for an excellent lunch at the MAP Cafe (in the Museo de Arte Precolombino).
