Sacred Valley – Pisac

Then we toured an Inca ruin in the town of Pisac. There were lots of examples of Incan building techniques from different times. Also, fountains, burial caves, and great views of the valley below.

This man played the Incan flute as we walked through the place. It definitely added to the atmosphere. A couple of people in our group bought his CD.

These terraces were (perhaps) used to experiment growing seeds at different elevations. I didn’t realize how big this really was until I saw some people walking on the path below.

We drove to a restaurant, and had an excellent lunch, and got to know each other better.

We spent the night at Ollantaytambo, a town close to the start of the hike.
