Once we arrived we had a too-short break and then took a walk through the jungle.

Since there are very little nutrients in the soil of the rain forest, most tree roots are for stabilization only. In the front: termite nest.
At one point in the trail David pointed and I looked straight up, and saw a Spider monkey looking straight down (much, much higher than this guy). I am sure we were more observee than observer
Social spiders – this was a HUGE spider web, built by many little cooperative spiders. Pretty creepy, I thought.

Back at the camp, we had a walk through the jungle to get to the showers/bathrooms. I found a very cute frog hanging out there.
