Tabin Day 2

In the morning, Maui suggested we walk and look for gibbons, and we agreed. We walked about 15 feet and there they were.

He had heard them calling earlier.

They had impossibly long arms and legs. Maui said they were the fastest animals in the jungle, since they could move through the trees so easily.

We had only seen orangutans at a distance, so our guide suggested we drive to “Orangutan Corner”, which was where they release rehabilitated orangutans in Tabin. It was a long drive, and when we got there, we didn’t seem much of anything beyond a weird lizard. Then, suddenly, we looked over, and there they were.

They hung around a bit watching us, and then wandered away. We headed back.
