After the river float at Rio da Prata, we drove a short distance down the road to Buraco das Araras (Macaw canyon). It was a giant hole in the ground where Red-and-green Macaws live. We arrived near sunset, and watched them fly in and around.
At first, we didn’t see very many, but as it go later, we saw more and more. They would fly around the canyon, and land on the walls or trees.
