Today was a full day game drive. We got up before sunrise, and were searching for Big Cats. It didn’t take long to find one.

She seemed mildly annoyed that we kept taking photos of her – even the flash photo didn’t make her move.
We drove to the hippo pond we had visited the day before. Found lions!

Six cubs, two lionesses, at first.

A third one appeared (Jamal said she didn’t have cubs, and was coming back from an unsuccessful hunt.)

They greeted her when she showed up.

She crossed the creek, and the other followed.

Jamal says that lions are more social than most cats.
