Rosario

Next day we were driven to the more popular monarch colony which was about an hour from the B&B.

On the drive to El Rosario I noticed the monarch painted on lots of buildings.

There were more people here – and plenty of opportunities to shop.

Our guide, Anna, was unhappy that many butterflies got crushed underfoot. We were very careful, and the local (required) guide had a branch that he carefully swept the steps ahead of us.

It was a steep walk up and around. But: no horses!

At the end of the walk there were a few colorful birds hanging around, which we enjoyed.

We drove back to the B&B and watched hummingbirds, and enjoyed our last day in the village.
